    CityLimits shapefile

    Requester

    Notification date: 25 August 2009
Agency Name: Ada County Assessor's Office
    Contact Person: Dan Narsavage
    Phone: (208) 287-7273
    E-mail: dnarsavage@adaweb.net

    Data set name: CityLimits

Description of change request/notification: We plan to remove the TaxDistrictID field from the shapefile we've been delivering for a couple months. It's an artifact of our geodatabase schema, and it's meaningless outside of that context. It's as easy for us to exclude it as it is to include it.

Purpose for the change: One less piece of useless information to clutter our lives.

    Managing Agency

Agency Name: Ada County Assessor's Office
    Contact Person: Dan Narsavage
    Phone: (208) 287-7273
    E-mail: dnarsavage@adaweb.net

Potential impact to end users: I can't imagine anyone's actually using this field, so negative effects should be negligible. On the positive side, you'll have one less field to sort through before getting to useful data.

    Feedback deadline: 25 September 2009

    Implementation date: 14 October 2009

Feedback preference: Post a reply in this thread.

    Re: CityLimits shapefile

    Dan,

Seems perfectly reasonable since there is likely a maintained Tax District feature class somewhere anyway.

    Re: CityLimits shapefile

We don't use that column in any way, shape, or form - so as far as Boise City GIS goes, we are fine with the change. Jimae
