    EmergencyFacilities Change Notification

    Requester

                            Notification date: 11/2/2009

                            Agency Name: City of Boise

                            Contact Person: Eric Wing

                            Phone: 384-3936

                            E-mail: ewing@cityofboise.org

Data set name (data type if necessary): EmergencyFacilties

Description of change request/notification: Boise City’s Emergency Service Location point data set is to be replaced by the four regional Emergency Facility data sets now available.

Purpose for the change: Participants from Ada and Canyon County dispatch are now collaborating to provide point locations of police, fire, ems, and healthcare facilities. This data is more up to date and better supported than Boise’s Emergency Facility data. This change reduces data duplication.

    Managing Agency

                            Agency Name: City of Boise

                            Lead Contact Person: Eric Wing

                            Phone: 384-3936

                            E-mail: ewing@cityofboise.org

Potential impact to end users (best guess): This is a relatively significant change to anyone that has been using Boise’s Emergency Facility data. The replacement data has an entirely new schema (albeit similar content) and data has been split from one point data set with all emergency facilities to four separate point data sets.

Feedback deadline (if applicable): December 2nd, 2009

Feedback preference (phone, email, other): No preference.

Decisions: This change will proceed on the implementation date unless any issues/concerns arise during the feedback period.

Change Implementation date: December 2nd (if no issues/concerns are submitted.

    Re: EmergencyFacilities Change Notification

No concerns with us at ACHD. Good to see cross-county collaboration on these layers.
